Anne-Marie Duff has been an English actor, narrator, and writer for more than thirty years. Duff was a graduate of Drama Centre London in 1990 and made her first TV appearances in Trial & Retribution Amongst Women & Aristocrats. She rose to prominence playing Fiona Gallagher on the first two seasons of UK TV show Shameless. The Virgin Queen (2006) was her subsequent role. The actress also appeared as the role of Queen Elizabeth I and the lead character on From Darkness, a television show that premiered in the year 2015. Duff was in Enigma (2001), The Magdalene Sisters Scandal (2007), Notions on a Scandal (2007) French Film (2008) The Last Station, Nowhere Boy Before Go To Sleep (2014) as well as Suffragette (2005). Duff was nominated to win BAFTA awards for Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress as well as Best Actress in Shameless The Virgin Queen.
